Pauri – paradise for trekkers

One of the least explored but stunningly beautiful Indian hill stations of Pauri is located in Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Pauri Attractions

Pauri can be used as a great base in Uttarakhand from where the travelers can well explore the many tourist attractions located nearby.

Khirsu: Positioned at a distance of 19 kms from Pauri, Khirsu is a serene and quiet tourist destination and it offers ovely vistas of the Himalayas. While the lovely mountains of Khirsu inspire the visitors in the winters, the picture-perfect views of the central Himalayas woo them during the summers. There is also a nice trekking route between Khirsu and Pauri.

Lansdowne: One of the favorite and much visited tourist places of Pauri, Landsowne is located 81 km away from Pauri. A tour to this beautiful place gives the visitors a memorable and enjoyable experience. This lovely tourist destination also offers a range of thrilling adventure sports. There is a nice trekking route between Lansdowne and Pauri, much loved by the trekkers and nature enthusiasts.

Adwani: A charming picnic spot located amidst scenic surroundings, Adwani is situated at a distance of 17 kms from Pauri. This picture-perfect place adds to the tourist appeal of Pauri.

Tara Kund: An interesting spiritual destination situated in the Chariserh development region, Tara Kund is yet another tourist place which has a great value from the tourism viewpoint. It boasts of an ancient temple, besides a small lake. Visitors come over to this holy shrine to celebrate the Hindu festival of Teej with much fervor.

Dhudatoli: Yet another nearby attraction, Dhudatoli, also known as Doodhatoli, offers superb bird's eye views of the picturesque ranges of the Himalayas.

By Air: The airport which is nearest is Jollygrant (155 kms.). By Rail: The railway station which is nearest is kotdwar (108 kms.) Road: Pauri is well linked to many major cities of the area.
